Cagney: “You think it’s just one of those normal working days but it’s not. You get called into a location where crazy kids do crazy things. Walking down the dark alleyway, the flashing lasers spray light into the smoke that clouds the air, shadows of moving bodies crawl the walls. Heat. The music, deep and interweaving grooves, grips you by surprise; it’s like nothing you have ever heard before. Everyone seems connected, moving in sync, riding on the music, interlocked by some form of energy. I could feel it too, it made me fly.”
Lacey: “It’s total harmony in a way, this music, it’s uniting.”
Cagney: “Two arrests, what can you do if they refuse to cooperate. Normal working day really.”
Lacey: “I felt bad for all these innocent kids, it just not seem fair… wanna go for a drink?”
Cagney: “Yeah, let’s go grab a beer…”
Lacey: “I can’t get that weird choppy track out of my head, the one with the chokes and the screaming girl. It seemed so real. Just like this girl puking all over the dancefloor.”
Cagney: “Nasty shit. Some of the sounds were truly crunked up, and bizarre, with a deep drive embedded in the mightiness of a tightly gripping beat. With its crazy squeaks and funny bleeps, the music made everyone dance with happy faces. I like that. Shame they closed the club down.”
Lacey: “Yes, totally. I agree. I am glad you said that.”

Cagney’n’Lacey in: “NYC 2007”
Christine Cagney and Mary Beth Lacey, two NYC police officers, once more cruise NY city’s streets together as they get called out, ready to embark on new adventures. Cagney, a spontaneous switched-on girl, and Lacey, a connected down-to-earth mother, always have a good time when they do a shift together. Sometimes they just cruise along the sidewalk, windows down, and watch the people. They love to have a laugh, and they enjoy each other’s company, talking about life experiences, sometimes even music. It always always gets tough but they somehow get through hairy situations without major damage, supporting the other. It’s not always easy though. Recently they closed down a club where they played music by some guys called Saint iBot and Jesse Rose, and all those kids had to go home scared. Something Cagney and Lacey talk about when they go for a drink later. And about this DJ guy...
